As a thought-form energy projection, Dave came into being gradually over the course of his little brother Larry's lonely childhood. The thing about magical thinking, though - it can be contagious, and can lead to some really bizarre consequences. Now that others can see him, he's gone through a number of changes, including becoming a collective entity. For a while he seemed to be nowhere at all, until some new friends took a voyage into the psychosphere and found him again. He just hopes that humans don't find out about him so he doesn't become some dark, mysterious, dangerous monster.
