The festival of Holi in India stands for a lot of things including colours, harvest, start of the spring season, folk songs, dances, customary rituals, family get-togethers, feasts, special pujas and many others. The joy associated with Holi also marks the beginning of a new season that suggests hope and resurgence. The time of Holi is one of the most wonderful parts of the year to wish your near and dear ones with some inspiring messages to cheer them up. Festivals also provide some wonderful occasions to encourage people. If you want to refresh your bonds and relationships, Holi is the best time in the year to do so.  I went to India for the 3rd time in 2018 with 2 very close friends to takephotos at the Holi Festival. Our first stop was Mahtura for this. In Hinduism, Mathura is birthplace of the god Krishna, which is located at the Krishna Janmasthan Temple. Since the festival started very early, we went to the temple to get our place early. When it started to turn into such a cheerful and colorful environment, I sometimes took photos of people and sometimes I danced and had fun with them. The fun in the temple had spilled over into the streets at this time and paints were flying in the air. So I threw myself into the streets to take different portraits. I saw this person while I was passing by a house with an open garden door on the streets and asked his permission to enter. He invited me in. Seeing my camera, he pointed and said photo. That's when I started taking portraits of him. I said to him, "how are you?" he posed with this expression of face and hand. All I have to do is capture the moment. About the Artist: Sefa Yamak, who is very well known and famous portrait & fashion photographer from Turkey. Also his photographs have been published by National Geographic, Paris Match, L’officiel, multiple times. He had 3 solo exhibitions with under the name Untitled Portraits. In addition, his photographs have taken place in many national and international group exhibitions.
