On March 9, 2021 I lost the love of my life. My wife of almost 47 years succumbed to stroke which was a result of COVID’19. Her funeral was held at St.Peter and Paul Lutheran Cathedral in Moscow. Over the next month I was privileged to have my paintings participate first in a special Good Friday service and later on in a “Four Seasons” concert that was held at St.Peter and Paul. The images were projected onto the dome of the church. The unique blend of music and overpowering visual images created and unbelievable impression. While we planned to have both of these events for quite some time. The timing turned them into a kind of tribute to my wife. But then again I believe just about everything that I do in this next chapter of my life will be a tribute to her. She was my love. She is the tenderness in my paintings. She is the passion in my veins. The Projections Project is a collection of rare NFTs that seek to recreate the atmosphere of these two evenings in a digital format. It was released on OpenSea on Friday July 2, three months after the Good Friday service. Each NFT comes with unique unlock-able images available to the collector.
